At the heart of Rose & Thistle Social Ltd is Abigail, a digital marketing professional with over five years of experience in social media management.
Her mission is clear: to turn service providers into industry leaders who stand out, sell more, and are impossible to ignore.
It all began in 2020 when Abigail launched Marketing in Scotland, an Instagram blog that provided easy marketing tips and insights during the pandemic. This project was born out of a desire to help businesses navigate the challenges of the rapidly changing digital landscape.
It also sparked Abigail’s passion for simplifying social media marketing, particularly for service providers who were struggling to keep up with constant changes.
With a background in creative industries, Abigail has worked across diverse sectors, including sports, healthcare, lifestyle businesses, weddings, real estate, beauty, mental health, and more.
She is dedicated to helping businesses attract customers, generate leads, and, most importantly, spend less time online so they can focus on what they love.
From there, Abigail expanded her services, offering social media management and consultancy to businesses across the UK, Europe, and beyond. Through her work, she has consistently delivered increased visibility, audience growth, and lead generation for a variety of industries.
In 2023, Abigail took her entrepreneurial journey to the next level by founding Rose & Thistle Social Ltd. She has since launched a mentoring side of the business, designed to guide freelance social media managers in getting clear and confident about how to move the needle in their business, while making their first investment a great one.
Abigail’s efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. She has been recognised with multiple award nominations, including being named a finalist in the Business Women Scotland 2022 awards and the Rising Star category at Business Women Connects Edinburgh 2024.
She is also a sought-after speaker, regularly sharing her expertise at universities, networking events, and podcasts such as Adventures in Marketing 2025, Success On Your Terms by Natalie Potts, Glasgow Caledonian University, Mother's Meeting at Soho House, Alice Benham’s Book Tour, and more.
